- Select ‘Composition’ from the menu
- Click ‘Composition Settings’
- Make sure the frame rate of your composition is the same as the Video
- Click ‘OK’ to save the changes
- Make a copy of the video the background of which you want to blur by selecting the Video Layer
- Press ‘Ctrl+C’
- Press ‘Ctrl+V’
- Double-click the copy on top to open a new preview window
- Select ‘Roto Brush Tool’ from the toolbar
- Paint a selection over the objects you do not want to blur
- Hold ‘alt’ while painting to subtract from the selection
